A crazy thing happened at the "Gadget Show Live" this year... I turned a corner and there right in front of me, was a beautiful array of fabrics and materials in a multitude of patterns and designs. What's going on, I thought... Haberdashery? Hang on, I thought, have I just entered the "Clothes Show"?
No, I hadn't. In fact, I'd bumped into Freckles and Gilbert, an up-and-coming company formed in September 2010 dedicated to bringing technology to the public in a very personalized manner, providing both individuality, class and the female touch to your gadgets.
Fundamentally, the function of these beautifully designed products is to provide a stylish form of carry case for your most important gadgets, such as phones, iPads, laptops and Kindles, etc. The cases products provide a level of protection as a classy carry case and scratch/dust cover, incorporating an extension of personal expression to your most important technology, although these are not intended to protect your gadgets from severe damage.
Freckles and Gilbert is headed by two very skilled young ladies Jenna and Sam, who both have degrees as specialist seamstresses. They can custom design/make and personalize your products given the appropriate instruction and can even incorporate a waterproof element to your cover in order to provide an additional level of protection to your cases.

These interestingly-designed covers are proving to be popular with students, the older gadget girl and even gadget guys looking to get a peace offering for their long suffering partner who's let you go wandering around a gadget show for days on end!
