Do you own an Internet radio set, such as one of the Pure, Revo or Roberts radios? You may be able to tune in to FrequencyCast.
We now have a ShoutCast stream on FrequencyCast, which includes our current show, as well as a selection of recent Focus features. Internet radio receivers make use of a database of streaming radio stations, and we should be listed on many of those databases. If you have an Internet radio, take a look and see if we’re listed.
If we’re not listed, you may be able to add us manually – here’s our Shoutcast feed address: http://lush.wavestreamer.com:3680/listen.pls
Fnd out more about our streaming service, see our FrequencyCast Radio Station page.
Can you get FrequencyCast on your Internet radio? Let us know which model you’ve found us on, as a comment.
I have the Revo Mondo internet radio adaptor which uses the Reciva gateway – couldn’t find Frequencycast though…
Hi,
I listen to Frequencycast via ‘my podcasts’ on my Reciva based radios,Revo Pico,Logik IR 100,and the Vistron MX 200i.
I can also listen via my Tranciva IR804 this is Frontier-Silicon based, and here Frequencycast is already in the podcast menu on the system.
In the case of Reciva radios, one has to first create an account with Reciva then register your radio.
To listen to Frequencycast copy the RSS/URL to ‘my podcasts’ on the Reciva website, the last half dozen,or so shows will then become available, under the ‘my podcast’ option on the radio itself.
You may have to turn the power on the radio off/on to get it to work.
Thanks for the info Dennis – I now have Frequncycast up & running on the Revo Mondo :)
Thats great Les,pleased to help:)
Thanks guys – good to know that there’s a workaround for getting us on Internet radios.
We’re not having much luck getting on the Reciva database, which would obviously be preferable to having to end our streams manually. Mails to Reciva appear to be ignored, and a polite request in their forum hasn’t helped – https://forum.reciva.com/read.php?4,60966
Any of you whao’d like to see us added, feel free to get in touch with Reciva?
I think,in the Reciva system, Frequencycast is seen as a podcast, not a streaming radio station, and so has to be added manually,by the user under my podcasts.
I have,in the past, tried to add podcast URLs to ‘my streams’where one would normally place, a working radio station stream URL,but podcasts do not work there, for whatever reason?.
Just seen your wavestreamer, stream, has tested it in ‘my streams’ on my radio, and it works:).
Given that,I see no reason why it cannot be added to to the Reciva main menu, will see what I can do this end.
Just to add further confusion:)I confirm that my Traciva IR804,that uses the Frontier-Silicon portal will get the normal show/podcast under podcasts,on the system, this has been the case, for some time.
I note however, that the test ‘wavestreamer’ stream does not work on this system,at least as far as I can tell,so far:).
Looks like Reciva has finally added our stream to their database. We should now be available on all Reciva radios – just search for FrequencyCast.
Yes it is,got there in the end:).
