Details of Devon and Cornwall’s Digital Switch programme were announced in July 2008. In July 2009, the Huntshaw Cross transmitter group, serving North Devon, will make the switch to digital. Later in July 09, the Redruth transmitter group, serving west Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly will see analogue turned off. Then, in August 2009. the Caradon Hill transmitter group, serving Plymouth, parts of Devon and east Cornwall, will make the change.

I am an RF design engineer and are therefore asked by neighhbors for broadcast reception advice, mu neighbours are most unhappy as they have lost most preferred channels.
We were all advised that the increase in digital signal strength would be sufficient to enable digital receivers to function using the Huntshaw Transmitter.
In this EX20 area we have all invested £100 or so on new antennas and in some cases raised the antenna hight.
Well to date we do not have most BBC TV channels but we do have some ITV channels.
What gives? has the change over finished, as the actress said “is that it?”
