There’s a massive shortage of the Wii games consoles, but we’ve got one, and we’ve been having fun with the amazing controllers… playing tennis, darts, golf, billiards and bowling all with a wireless controller that mimics real-life sporting actions.
See a few screenshots at www.frequencycast.co.uk/wii.html, and keep your ears open for Show 10 coming soon, where the FrequencyCast team has some Christmas fun with the Wii
Personally, i think this console is a revolution.
For years, those that think they know better have been telling us that playing computer games is very bad. As with anything, too much of a good thing can lead to all sorts of problems, but a well written computer game can put the brain through a thorough mental workout.
Now we have the Nintendo Wii which has the potential of doing all of the above as well as giving us couch potatoes some physical exercise too. Frankly, it’s insidious :)
Here i am, serving for match point in a hard fought tournament. The adrenalines flowing (as is the sweat), when… “THWOCK!!!
“And yes…” (Plummy Tennis presenter voice) “The outsider has come from knowhere to win the prestigious Living Room Open for the first time…”, “The crowd are on their feet cheering… Oh… careful madam…”, “An excited fan almost tripped over the coffee table trying to approach the new champion to congratulate him”
Well… i’m sure you get the idea… We’re all gonna be having way too much fun to realise we are working out… lol
Well done Nintendo…
